Staff Accountant

Reason for Opening:
Current Staff Accountant is moving out of state

Work Hours:
35-hour workweek, East Coast hours. Paid 1-hour lunch. Schedules: 6-2, 7-3, or 8-4.
Compensation:
$60,000-$75,000 (flexible based on experience).

Must-Haves:
* Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance OR 5+ years of GL accounting experience if no degree
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat (non-negotiable)
* Ability to maintain email communication and manage tasks proactively
* Intention to remain in Tucson long-term
* Interest in pursuing higher education or growth in the industry
* Reports to Senior Accountant

Responsibilities (from PDF + manager):
* Month-end close tasks for multiple subsidiaries
* Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
* Perform account analysis and prepare detailed spreadsheets
* General ledger accounting and transaction review
* Additional tasks as assigned
* Work with all levels of staff and management
